Do I need a motorcycle license to drive a Slingshot?
No. A valid driver’s license is required. A motorcycle endorsement is not needed.
What are the requirements to rent a Polaris Slingshot in Atlanta?
Where are you located?
We are located at 800 Battery Avenue, 3rd floor, Atlanta GA. Right inside of The Battery Atlanta, steps from Truist Park, making us one of the most convenient Polaris Slingshot rental locations in Atlanta.Throttle Rides ATL maintains commercial insurance coverage on all Polaris Slingshot rentals as required by law. However, renters remain financially responsible for any damage, loss, or violations that occur during their rental period.
Depending on the renter’s individual policy, personal automobile insurance may provide additional coverage, but this varies by provider. We recommend checking with your insurance carrier prior to your rental if you have questions about coverage.
Is insurance included with my Slingshot rental?
A 33% reservation deposit is required at booking to secure your Slingshot and rental time.
This amount is applied toward the total cost of your rental, with the remaining balance due at pickup.
All reservation deposits are strictly non-refundable for any reason, including but not limited to:
Inclement or unfavorable weather
Changes in personal plans
Travel issues or delays
Mechanical concerns unrelated to safety
Failure to meet rental requirements
No-shows or late arrivals
The remaining rental balance and a $500 refundable security deposit are due at vehicle pickup.

Weather policy
Due to the nature of our business, confirmation fees are non-refundable, including in cases of weather. However, when possible, we may allow a one-time transfer to a future date…
If weather conditions or safety concerns prevent riding, the confirmation fee may be transferred to a future date, subject to availability and management approval.
Transferred deposits must be used within six (6) months of the original booking date and may only be applied once.
Weather-related decisions are made solely at the discretion of management in the interest of rider safety and equipment protection.
By submitting a rental request and paying the confirmation fee, the customer acknowledges and agrees to this no-refund policy.
Is there a security deposit required?
Our Polaris Slingshot rentals in Atlanta are available for both hourly and daily bookings.
Hourly Rentals:
A refundable $300 security deposit is required at the time of rental. The deposit will be fully returned once the Slingshot is brought back on time, in the same condition it was received, and with a full tank of gas.
Daily Rentals:
A refundable $500 security deposit is required at the time of rental. The deposit will be fully returned once the Slingshot is brought back on time, in the same condition it was received, and with a full tank of gas.
Please allow 3–5 business days for the funds to be released back to your original payment method, depending on your financial institution.
Upon arrival, you’ll complete a quick check-in and safety orientation before heading out on your ride.
We provide helmets at request in all sizes at no additional cost, if needed. All helmets are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each use.
